New Year, New Reflections
As we begin this new year, I reflect on what has happened over the past year, particularly over the last two months. I am so incredibly thankful that Substack exists so that CORRECT information about the Nutrition Industry can be disseminated. I love writing these posts just as much as you love reading them. Just as much as these posts (hopefully) give you pause to recognize what ingredients are scientifically sound and which are not, it gives me the opportunity to reflect on products I have developed that were both scientifically sound and ones that were….well….not. It also gives me the opportunity to read some of the current scientific articles and research out there to keep me fresh in my knowledge. So, for that, THANK YOU for allowing me to write these posts as well as taking the time out of your schedule to read these posts. I am so thankful for this opportunity!
I had a couple comments over the Christmas break about where I am getting my information. My sources include (but are not limited to) Examine.com (a leader in reading through current scientific articles and summarizing studies), Healthline.com, PubChem, as well as my membership through the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics and ingredient suppliers’ websites (provided they have scientific studies on their ingredients!).
Before I begin blogging again, I wanted to stop and ask you: What are some of your nutrition goals this year? Are you looking to add any supplements to your routine? What types of beverages are you drinking and why? I want to make this blog as useful and informative to you, so please shout-out on the comments!
I would also highly encourage you to share this blog with others you might think would be interested. The more people know about this blog and are educated correctly, the better opportunity we have to change the Nutrition Industry for the better.
